Slingshot AI is the team behind Ash, the first AI designed for mental health. Our mission is to make support more accessible and help people change their lives in the ways they want. We’re building a world-class team by empowering individuals with the autonomy, flexibility, and support they need to do their best work. We dream big, iterate fast, and care deeply. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Our team spans machine learning, product, engineering, conversational design, clinical, growth, and operations, with offices in both New York City and London. We're a well-funded Series A company, having raised $93M from top-tier tech investors.

The role involves:

  • Owning the creative engine end to end: angle, concept, copy, production, launch, read, iterate.
  • Building the system that makes it repeatable, including testing cadence, angle library, naming and tagging, and a bank of real user language.
  • Producing statics and video yourself on the AI stack, at a volume that keeps paid fed and never blocked on creative.
  • Writing hooks, headlines, overlays, and scripts, in the voice of the person scrolling.
  • Running creative across networks and building for what each one rewards.
  • Taking the read from creative through the web funnel to paying users.
  • Working closely with media buying, with hands on the account and on the data.
  • Sourcing outside supply where it beats making it internally.
  • Setting the visual and verbal point of view for Ash in market.

About you:

  • Years of experience making performance creative in a category where creative is the media buy.
  • You have shipped against a CAC target.
  • You have taken creative supply from close to zero to high volume monthly output.
  • You write performance copy at a high level.
  • The AI production stack is already your default.
  • You have worked across more than one ad network.
  • You have seen the whole path from the first frame to the paying user.
  • You have led a creative team and are choosing a hands-on seat.
  • You can set up a clean test and read the result honestly.
  • You have taste and can defend it with an argument.
  • You want to work on mental health for a reason you can say out loud.

Nice to have:

  • You can challenge our media buyer on their own ground.
  • You have built or reshaped web funnels and landing pages.
  • You have built or run a creator or UGC pipeline.

How we will assess this:

We care much more about the work than the CV. Expect to talk through creative you made, the tests you ran, what you expected to happen and what actually did, and to do a short paid exercise against a live Ash brief.

What we offer:

  • A chance to join a passionate tight-knit team working on something to change the world.
  • Competitive compensation (top of personal market).
  • Travel between our NYC / London offices.
  • Usual startup perks like free lunch and coffee in office + generous learning budget.
  • We cover your personal therapy.
