Healx is an AI-enabled, clinical-stage, rare disease biotech that is redesigning drug discovery. With 10,000 rare diseases affecting 400 million people globally, 90% of which have no approved treatment, Healx is on a mission to pioneer the next generation of drug discovery to help rare disease patients in need. We combine data, artificial intelligence and deep pharmacology expertise to develop treatments more quickly and cheaply than traditional drug discovery.
Role Summary
We are seeking to fill this role immediately and welcome applications from both contractors and candidates open to a future full-time permanent position.
In this exciting role you’ll be at the forefront of our Corporate Development activities, driving impactful deals and strategic partnerships. As the Corporate Development Manager you’ll be instrumental in project managing various corporate development initiatives.
Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development and Licensing, and a dotted line to the CEO, you will manage projects, evaluation, generate materials and commercial analysis for a broad range of opportunities. You will collaborate and partner with Executives across the company to influence our strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Development Management: Directly support leadership in all aspects of corporate development initiatives including leading the preparation of investor materials, communications and associated project management. Manage the due diligence process and data room, serving as a key point of contact for investment banks, legal counsel, and prospective investors.
- Commercial Development: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify key trends and generate data-driven insights that refine our strategy. Cultivate and manage essential third-party relationships to facilitate our commercial work.
- Business Development: Identify business development opportunities including discovery partnerships, in-licensing and regional collaborations.
- Stakeholder communications: Work cross-functionally with relevant internal stakeholders from the Commercial, Finance, Legal, and (Pre)Clinical teams to facilitate effective strategic communications with our external partners.
Your experience

- Project management experience in the biotech/pharma industry
- Experience working in life sciences management consulting, biotech, pharma or venture capital
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to do what needs to be done in a dynamic environment
- University degree in Life Sciences-related discipline
- Previous experience in executing business development and licensing activities
- Experience in a smaller, more entrepreneurial environment
- An MBA or similar degree
- Experience in rare diseases, and/or the (pre)clinical development process
- Experience conducting due diligence
