About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Dual Registered Manager to lead two high-quality, Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Homes in Waltham Abbey. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee:
- One solo placement home
- One two-bed home
Both homes support children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Whether you are an experienced Registered Manager ready to take the next step into a dual registration role, or an established Dual Registered Manager looking for a fresh challenge, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that genuinely invests in its people and offers clear career progression into senior operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold dual registration with Ofsted for two Children's Residential Homes.
- Provide strong, visible leadership to both services, creating safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments for children and young people.
- Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and all relevant legislation.
- Lead, motivate and develop high-performing staff teams through effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement across both homes, maintaining high standards of care and operational excellence.
- Ensure children receive personalised care that promotes positive outcomes and supports their emotional, educational and social development.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, occupancy and resources effectively.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted, families and external professionals.
- Lead on safeguarding, ensuring the welfare of children remains the highest priority.
- Prepare for and successfully manage Ofsted inspections, maintaining a culture of compliance and quality.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (Children and Young People).
- Significant experience managing an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
- A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to inspire, develop and retain high-performing teams.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Current experience as a Dual Registered Manager.
- Alternatively, an experienced Registered Manager with a successful track record who is ready to step into a dual management position.
