Registered Manager – 4-Bed Children\’s Home (EBD)

Location: Doncaster, DN9

Salary: £48,000 per annum

Potential Earnings: Up to £55,800 through bonuses

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Manager to open and lead our brand-new 4-bed children\’s residential home in Doncaster (DN9), supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing a new home – overseeing its registration with Ofsted, building a committed team, and creating a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, registration, and operational management of the home. You\’ll ensure that the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained while fostering a positive, empowering culture for both staff and young people. You\’ll work collaboratively with key stakeholders to build a service that delivers lasting positive outcomes and achieves excellence at every level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the registration process and ensure the home meets all Ofsted requirements.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the 4-bed home in line with company policies and statutory regulations.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people in placement.
• Recruit, train, and manage a skilled, trauma-informed care team.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities, families, and professionals.
• Develop effective monitoring, recording, and quality assurance systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve \’Good\’ or \’Outstanding\’ Ofsted ratings.
• Participate in on-call duties and contribute to the wider organisational development.

About You

• Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a children\’s residential setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
• Experience working with young people with EBD and complex needs.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• A proactive, compassionate, and resilient leader who can inspire others.
