The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team at HealthTrust Europe. The BDM will work as part of the ProTrust Team to drive revenue growth across ProTrust's private sector portfolio. Previous experience as a Sales / Account Manager selling into private equity is preferable. The role requires a proactive, commercially minded individual who can build relationships, manage complex sales cycles, and contribute to the long‑term growth of the business.

Duties (included, but not limited to):

  • Identifies and engages new business opportunities across private sector clients as well as maintaining and growing relationships with existing members, ensuring contract utilisation and satisfaction.
  • Leads outreach campaigns tailored to client needs, leveraging CRM and automation tools.
  • Collaborates with sourcing and product teams to align client requirements with ProTrust’s offerings.
  • Tracks and reports pipeline progress, forecast revenue, and contributes to quarterly business reviews.
  • Represents ProTrust at industry events and external engagements to build brand awareness.
  • Assesses customer spending and identifies opportunities for growth in new categories.
  • Proactively manages and acts upon a pipeline organised and updated through Salesforce.
  • Identifies categories of interest to prospective and existing customers.
  • Liaises with Sourcing to ensure customers receive an optimum experience from HealthTrust Europe.
  • Assists in the development of a sales plan to identify key opportunities and necessary steps to drive business forward.
  • Proactively implements the plan across their assigned customers/territory accounts.
  • Oversees the preparation of necessary data and reports for internal/customers use.
  • Reviews and analyses for accuracy and outcomes needed to move forward.
  • Provides strategies around achieving desired results.
  • Meets financial & operational goals in the annual budgeting plan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrable experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within procurement, GPO, or B2B services.
  • Proven track record of converting leads into revenue and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and campaign automation tools.
  • Experience in private sector verticals is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to create or interpret potentially complex financial models.
  • Aligns internal and external resources to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrates consistently good attention to detail.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Listens and separates ancillary information from the primary content being communicated.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral, written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products, proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Salesforce.

Experience Of Working With AI Tools (CoPilot Preferred):

Desirable Experience working with AI tools is desirable. CoPilot preferred.
