Healthtech-1 exists to unlock appointment access in the NHS. We are growing rapidly and hiring 20+ roles in the next 6-12 months. You will be our first dedicated talent hire, reporting directly to Pete (cofounder).
You’re joining at a pivotal moment. The role focuses on building and scaling the hiring function, balancing art (communication and candidate experience) and science (operational efficiency and reporting). This is a founding role in a function that will grow as the company scales, with potential progression into a full People function.
Hybrid office culture: at least 3 days in our Stratford office; anchor days are Mon, Tue and Fri. In-office meals are provided. Compensation: £50-65k.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hiring process across all functions
- Conduct market research and benchmarking
- Develop outbound strategy and sourcing
- Manage hiring manager relationships: kickoffs, weekly syncs, and candidate quality reporting
- Ensure a strong candidate experience from first contact to offer
- Support employer brand touchpoints: posts, job descriptions, and public presence
- Reporting and results tracking
You will not own but will contribute to: role creation, interview processes, onboarding beyond pre-start, and content creation (with a dedicated marketer).
Requirements
- 3+ years in a fast-paced recruitment agency and in-house/startup environments (agency and startup experience)
- Full life cycle recruiting experience from attraction through onboarding
- Strong communication and storytelling; capable of engaging candidates and delivering a great candidate experience
- Operationally excellent; able to manage 6+ roles simultaneously with clear funnel tracking and metrics
- Experience hiring both tech and non-tech roles
- Deep alignment with Healthtech-1 mission to improve NHS access

- Experience with Ashby or similar tools
