Let’s make the NHS the most advanced healthcare system in the world. The NHS is free, large, and critical, but it’s under intense pressure. We’re on a mission to unlock access to healthcare by making every NHS appointment bookable. Our focus is relentlessly automating repetitive processes to free staff for patient care.

You will act as the clinically‑trained Product Manager and Clinical Safety Officer (CSO), reporting to the co‑founder Raj. Your work will cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver clinically safe, evidence‑backed products at NHS scale.

Goals & Expectations

  • Our North Star is 50,000 Weekly Appointments Booked (WAB) by September 2026, and ultimately 500,000 WAB across the NHS.
  • Achieve the necessary medical‑device status to provide AI care navigation and appointment booking within the NHS App.
  • Create persuasive content—academic papers, videos, white papers—to position Healthtech‑1 as the preferred supplier for care navigation.
  • Develop superior product‑development and incident‑management processes, and showcase them to industry stakeholders.

30 / 60 / 90‑Day Plan

  • By day 30: Deliver a full gap analysis against DCB0129 and Class I/II requirements. Evaluate clinical safety across product lines and flag issues. Draft the medical‑device strategy and implementation plan. Improve clinical‑incident handling and run hazard workshops.
  • By day 60: Complete key DCB0129 artefacts and major parts of the technical file. Gather early clinical and operational evidence for the Bookable product. Conduct hazard analysis (SWIFT) and define post‑market surveillance. Manage the first clinical incident from identification to communication.
  • By day 90: Achieve Class I medical‑device completion or progress to Class II. Integrate clinical safety into PRDs, design reviews, and release gates. Publish evidence demonstrating improved patient outcomes and cost savings.

Scope of Responsibility

  • Full ownership of clinical safety for all Healthtech‑1 products.
  • DCB0129 documentation, safety cases, hazard logs, risk analysis, and incident investigation.
  • Medical device strategy, technical file preparation, and post‑market surveillance.
  • Evidence generation for NHS App integration and authoring academic and white papers.
  • Co‑ownership with product and engineering on safety requirements in PRDs, data for monitoring, and risk mitigations.
  • Influence on product roadmap, NHS regional relationships, and non‑clinical compliance areas.
  • Does not own day‑to‑day delivery, commercial targets, or engineering resourcing.

Required Experience

  • Medical degree and registration with the GMC or equivalent.
  • Led a MHRA certification process.
  • Working knowledge of UK clinical safety regulation.
  • 2+ years of product experience, ideally from idea to delivery at a high‑quality organisation.
