Grade 3 Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation Maternity Leave role – 12 months – Part time 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities- Lead the provision of high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention to maximise functional independence, safety and quality of life of our patients.
- Assist the physiotherapy team leader and allied health manager with department operational management.
- Clinical leadership for the inpatient physio team.
- Supervision/mentoring of Grade 2 / Grade 1 physios and students.
- Lead program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department.
- Co‑ordinate and lead professional development/training.
- Provide leadership to staff to ensure a positive and harmonious working environment within the team.
- Act as a valued member of an inter‑disciplinary team including nursing teams, allied health teams and medical personnel, participating in case conferences and family conferences and actively contributing to team processes and practices.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum.
- Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes.
- Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 7 years clinical experience.
- Excellent clinical practice skills in rehabilitation assessment and intervention.
- Experience in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Interest in developing pain management skills.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork.
