About the Role:
You will provide a range of support services across our facility, working as part of a team to deliver best practice care. You will assist with food preparation and delivery as well as cleaning tasks. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
As a Support Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Perform basic food preparation tasks.
- Prepare, present and serve/deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets.
- Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements.
- Assist the cleaning team with the facility, including patient rooms, bathrooms, living areas, dining areas and staff and public areas.
- Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy and procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience in cleaning, and food and beverage handling/preparation in a hospital or hotel setting.
- Food handling certificate or progression towards completion.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Works well independently and within a team.
