NUs seeking experienced Scrub Scout Registered Nurses. Full‑time roles available; part‑time and casual considered for strong applicants. Applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience in a perioperative setting, with exposure to Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio‑thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae, or Robotics cases.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, research‑based standards of nursing care
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end‑of‑life needs
- Lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for safe practice
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing
- Proven perioperative experience in one or more specialties: Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio‑thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae, Robotics
- Current authority to work in Australia
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self‑motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for employment
- Hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2024, a salary ranging from $39.09‑$54.89 per hour.
