Expressions of interest are now being accepted for a motivated, suitably qualified team player, who would be interested in joining our Small Dedicated Radiography Team on a casual basis to perform the role of Diagnostic Radiographer as a support to existing staff. Hunter Valley Private Hospital, Shortland, is an 83 bed hospital with 5 Theatres, Surgical, Medical and a large Rehabilitation Unit incorporating Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Social Work. It has a friendly, supportive environment for both the Patients and Staff and prides itself on high quality Patient Care.

The Radiology Department is small, supportive and provides a high quality service to Clinicians, Surgeons and the Patient. Experience in Pain Management is desirable but not necessary. Training will be provided.

Are you a Radiographer with a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Hunter Valley Private Hospital is looking for skilled Radiographers to join their team.

As a Radiographer your responsibilities will include:

  • Theatres using Philips Zenition 70 Image Intensifier for Pain Management, and BV Pulsera II for Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics and General Surgery
  • General X-Rays in department including mobile X-Rays on the Wards
  • Breast specimens
  • Maintaining the smooth running of the Department, whilst working in collaboration with clinicians to undertake procedures as requested
  • Taking an active role in the management of WHS and Quality initiatives to ensure a safe work environment, injury prevention and the achievement of accreditation
  • Maintaining a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Basic computer skills
