Newcastle Private Hospital is looking to employ an Environmental Services Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. If you have proven experience in a leadership role with a strong commitment to customer service, we encourage you to apply now.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to our Environmental Services team (Cleaning, Waste and Linen) while delivering a high standard of service to our patients, staff and visitors.
- Manage Environmental Services staff and ensure a high level of Environmental Services across the facility.
- Manage rostering, staffing and day-to-day supervision of the team.
- Communicate with and manage contractors to facilitate waste, linen and cleaning services.
- Review and develop work tasks and schedules for the Environmental Services team.
- Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy and procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, clients and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a supervisor or manager in a hospital, environmental services, hotel services, or shopping centre.
- Knowledge of managing a 24/7 roster using electronic time and attendance systems (e.g., Dimensions).
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and motivation to ensure excellence in customer service.
- Ability to complete tasks within a measurable timeframe.
- Ability to work in a diverse, physically challenging position/workload.

About us
Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit. We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
