We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to undertake the CSSD Supervisor Role.
As the CSSD Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
- Attend the operational management of the current CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area
- Act as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promote a safe work environment
- Support your team to achieve a streamlined operational management
- Meet relevant standards and best practices consistent with the CSSD specialty area
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services. HVPH is committed to providing a workplace culture that respects, supports and rewards staff members.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a senior role within a CSSD or Perioperative Services
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation or relevant perioperative services experience
- Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR
- Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy skills – including MS office and various data bases
- An interest in promoting best practice patient care
- A focus on professional development
