An opportunity exists for qualified Cold Larder Cooks to join our well-established and highly reputable Catering Department at Newcastle Private Hospital on a casual basis. Your work as a Cook will contribute to our patients' experience with us, providing exceptional meals during their stay. We offer a supportive atmosphere, work-life balance, and no late nights!
The successful applicants will be available for a variety of shifts across a 7-day week and have prior experience in healthcare, aged care food services, or in a high-volume hotel environment.
As a Cook, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing meals for patients with dietary restrictions, allergens & texture modified
- Ordering of food supplies
- Supervising staff in the kitchen
- Delivering excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
- Food Safety knowledge
Selection Criteria:
- Qualification as a Chef from a recognised training provider
- Prior work in a Hospital, Aged Care or Healthcare environment
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling
- Good communication and time management skills
- Works well independently and within a team
