As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills
- Provide recommendations to specialist treatment programs based on their diagnosis
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services. - Certificate III Health Services Assistant (assisting in nursing work in acute care) or Second year undergraduate RN
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
