We are currently recruiting for a National Clinical Training Manager to join our team, either in Swadlincote or remotely.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the growth strategy within clinical skills across the nursing team.
  • Design and implement evidence-based training programmes that reflect both national standards and business priorities.
  • Review and enhance existing training packages and competencies to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our workforce.
  • Lead and support a dedicated group of clinical trainers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Nursing Directorate to implement the growth strategy around complex/high tech therapies.
  • Identify training needs and lead the development and delivery of evidence-based trust wide training packages related to clinical skills.
  • Coach, support and supervise colleagues to develop their skills in line with professional standards and current best practice.

Communication and Relationship Skills

  • Demonstrate high influencing and motivational skills to encourage effective communication and collaborative working.
  • Ensure communication channels are used appropriately to facilitate the flow of information internally and externally.
  • Manage communications to ensure productive and positive relations with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant internal and external meetings, conveying complex information.

Analytical and Judgmental Skills

  • Identify and critically appraise contemporary evidence to ensure services are delivered in line with best practice.
  • Undertake regular audits of the quality and effectiveness of clinical skills training.
  • Provide opportunities for staff to critically analyse and reflect on difficulties experienced within the clinical environment.

Planning and Organisational Skills

  • Develop, plan and implement training programmes once identified through audit.
  • Manage own diary, commitments and workload flexibly to meet needs of the service.
  • Lead and Support colleagues with the operational planning of the clinical education programme.

Responsibilities for Policy and Service Development

  • Work within business policies and procedures.
  • Support the assessment, development and implementation of clinical skills policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to service evaluation, planning and development of clinical education services.

Responsibilities for Finance

  • Identify and participate in any cost improvement measures as required.
  • Hold delegated responsibility for the management of the team budget and resources.

Responsibilities for Human Resources

  • Maintain active status on relevant professional register.
  • Take responsibility for own continuous self-development.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection of staff in the team.

Experience

  • Registered Nurse/NMC/Post registration nursing experience in SACT, complex therapies within the clinical homecare or community setting.
  • Experience of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Evidence of experience in training, learning and assessing.

Qualifications

  • RGN Part 1 of the NMC Register.

Personal Skills & Qualities

  • Ability to develop and sustain a professional Learning and Development clinical program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of building, developing and motivating the nurse team.
  • Self-motivated, dedicated with a committed approach showing interest in understanding the business and industry.
