We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Lead to join our Quality Department. We are looking for someone with a Pharmacy Technician or ACT qualification. If you are a passionate and caring individual seeking a role with a mission you can truly get behind, this is the opportunity for you.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of Product Quality Issues (PQIs) to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality service delivery.
  • Investigate, coordinate and resolve PQIs in partnership with Market Authorisation Holders (MAHs) and the NHS.
  • Ensure accurate patient records are maintained and maintain the PQI mailbox for timely case progression.
  • Communicate robustly with MAHs and the NHS, and troubleshoot product/device issues, escalating as needed.
  • Manage product requests, safe storage, tracking, returns to MAHs, and relevant reimbursement processes.
  • Develop PQI standard operating procedures, job aids and work instructions.
  • Prepare PQI data and reporting for internal teams, NHS, pharmaceutical clients and finance, and support finance in handling invoice disputes.
  • Provide patient counselling and medication support, including clear advice on usage, dosage, storage, administration, adherence strategies and answering medication‑related queries.
  • Support pharmacovigilance team in responding to adverse events and medicine information queries, conduct medication reconciliation and home stock checks to support PQI management.
  • Support training of staff about PQIs and pharmacovigilance reporting; maintain and update SOPs.
  • Support ongoing audit readiness across HealthNet quality processes, ensuring PQI management complies with GDP, ISO 9001, GPhC, CQC, NHS and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within CRM and quality systems; support internal/external audits with evidence and process oversight.
  • Collaborate with logistics, nurses, pharmacists and Patient Support teams to maintain patient safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the quality assurance team in client meetings regarding compliance, PQIs and product returns.
Requirements
  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician (essential).
  • Science or healthcare degree (desirable).
  • Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, homecare or regulated environments (essential).
  • Experience in patient‑facing roles (essential).
  • Familiarity with PQIs, pharmacovigilance or quality systems (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a management role (desirable).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; self‑motivated with a dedicated approach.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, planning, multitasking ability and adaptability under pressure.
  • Team‑player; proactive, resourceful, efficient, resilient, and strong decision‑making skills.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn new programs.
