In our 12-bed inpatient unit, outpatient clinic, and through consultations in medical, surgical units, and the ER, you\’ll provide comprehensive care. Beyond the hospital, your efforts will enhance mental health access in the rural East Kootenays, pioneering innovative treatment with our clinical teams and Indigenous partners. This role is rich with opportunities to address chronic conditions, substance use disorders, and lead mental health strategies, offering a special welcome to those interested in ECT. Benefits and Incentives Vacation Leave: With flexible scheduling, you\’ll have ample time to recharge and unwind. May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 14%, Retention Flat Fee $21,696, Relocation Funding Available $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada. Recruitment Incentive: $20,000, prorated for physicians working less than full time. Other Benefits/Incentives: With RCME, youβll be eligible to receive $1,800 for up to 2 years in Cranbrook, $4,800 during your 3rd and 4th year, and $7,800 after 4 years, in addition to the Doctors of BC CME funds. Compensation Type: Combination Estimated Remuneration: As a psychiatrist in Cranbrook, you can expect total compensation between $400,000-600,000, through fee-for-service billings, sessional contracts and MOCAP level 2.
