The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 Β£ per hour.

Small, well established, independent company. We are a friendly team providing domiciliary care to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and the elderly. This is a hybrid role, Support Worker/Domiciliary, covering Somerset, with opportunities for Supported Living.

Pay/Contracts available:

  • Travel time paid at National Minimum Wage between calls
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile
  • Β£12.80 per hour on weekdays, with enhancements for bank holidays
  • Enhancements on Christmas and New Year

Shifts:

  • Full time and part time available
  • Long stays for Support Worker: 1-14 hours
  • Domiciliary care: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes, following care plans and support from senior colleagues
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Provide various types of support, from housework to budgeting
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Valid driver's licence & own vehicle
  • Ability to provide compassionate care
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Basic literacy skills for documentation and communication
  • Experience in care preferred but not essential
  • Must be reliable, patient, and happy to work both alone and in a team
  • Experience preferred but not essential as full, paid training is provided
  • Must have own transport
  • Female only due to client preferences
