Small, well established, independent company. We are a friendly team providing domiciliary care to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and Down syndrome. Male Support Worker needed for clients in Yeovil.
Pay/Contracts available:
- Travel time paid at National Minimum Wage between calls
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile
- Β£12.80 per hour on weekdays, enhancements for bank holidays
Shifts:
- Full time and part time available
- Domiciliary care: 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Long stays: 1-14 hours per client
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes, following care plans and support from senior colleagues
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Cover all kinds of support, from housework to budgeting
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Valid driver's licence & own vehicle
- Ability to provide compassionate care
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic literacy skills for documentation and communication
- Experience in care preferred but not essential
- Must be reliable, patient, and happy to work both alone and in a team
- Experience preferred but not essential as full, paid training is provided
- Must have own transport
