We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team as Lunch Time Cover staff. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and supervision for children during lunch periods, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help foster positive experiences for children, supporting their social, emotional, and developmental needs while maintaining the standards of early childhood education. This contract will be Monday - Friday, 11.30-2.30

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children during lunch times, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social interaction and development
  • Support children with eating and hygiene routines in a caring and respectful manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children during lunch periods
  • Communicate effective with colleagues,parents, and caregivers to share updates on children's progress or concerns
  • Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a secure setting for children
  • Assist with general nursery duties as required to support the smooth running of daily operations

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
  • Demonstrated management or leadership skills within childcare environments
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • Knowledge of childcare best practices, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience working with diverse groups of children, understand their individual needs
  • Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation or outreach activities if needed
