The Role: As a Live‑in Carer at ENA Care Group, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Living with the client in their property for 2‑12 weeks at a time, supporting daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and facilitating an active lifestyle. Some of our clients have complex care needs, which may involve specialised interventions like tube feeding, medication administration, tracheostomy care, and bladder washouts. While previous experience with complex care is not essential, as we provide comprehensive training, a background in personal care is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the care plan, an important document that contains all the wishes and requests of our clients.
- Report changes and arrange updates so that the care plan is kept current and relevant.
- Record the care undertaken and other documents as shown via an app.
- Participate in training and handovers throughout your employment.
- Undertake household tasks, including preparing meals.
- Provide additional support for pets when required.
- Work independently and responsibly to ensure the well‑being, safety and happiness of our clients.
- Meet the standards required and go above and beyond in helping us to continue to be one of the leading care providers in the UK.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Full right to work in the UK.
- A full UK manual driving licence (a vehicle is not required, as you will typically drive the client’s vehicle).
- Experience in providing personal care.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to complete care documentation via an app.
- Ability to overcome challenges with a positive attitude.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Eagerness to learn and participate in relevant training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well‑organised and able to meet deadlines and targets.
