Harvlightcare Services is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Community Care Workers to join our growing team in Wellingborough. This rewarding role involves supporting individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. No two days are the same, and you will play a vital role in making a positive difference to the lives of those we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care & Support: Assisting service users with personal hygiene, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care. Supporting individuals with mobility needs and the safe use of mobility aids and equipment. Providing assistance with feeding and personal care during periods of illness. Supporting individuals receiving palliative or end-of-life care with dignity and compassion.
- Daily Living Support: Making and changing beds. Tidying rooms and carrying out light household duties. Emptying commodes and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Preparing light meals, serving food, assisting with feeding where required, and cleaning up afterwards.
- Promoting Independence & Wellbeing: Encouraging service users to remain as independent as possible. Supporting physical, mental, and social wellbeing through companionship and meaningful activities. Assisting with hobbies, reading, writing, outings, and social inclusion activities.
- Medication & Record Keeping: Assisting with medication administration and prompting in line with company policies. Maintaining accurate records and reports. Attending staff meetings and training sessions as required. Reporting any significant changes in a service user's health or circumstances to the Operations Manager.
- Professional Responsibilities: Following all company policies, procedures, and care standards. Maintaining confidentiality at all times and complying with Data Protection legislation and GDPR requirements. Undertaking any other duties reasonably required within the role.
