We are looking to recruit a Pre-School Nursery Nurse to join our fantastic Setting. Our staff are incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. As the longest running nursery in Wells, with a very popular reputation, our aim is for the children to feel the 'home from home' feeling. We combine the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with individually tailored care, to give the children the best possible foundation for development. All of our staff are highly experienced and qualified, working at Tree House between 7 and 28 years. What you’ll be doing:
- Working 45 hours 5 days a week, including an hours paid lunch break daily.
- Working in a small, close team.
- Monitoring and assessing children’s progress, ensuring correct records are maintained using written and digital methods (Tapestry).
- Ensuring the expected high standards of child care are upheld at all times.
- To demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding the children within your work.
- Be responsible for the development of children and to provide interesting learning opportunities following the EYFS.
- Assist senior staff members as and when required.
What you need:
- To be dedicated to Early Years education.
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards supporting children through their development.
- Good communication - both written and verbal.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ Childcare.
- Punctuality, Patience, Reliability and Trustworthiness.
- One years paid employment in a nursery or pre-school is essential.
- GCSE English and maths - must be able to provide documentation.
- Computer literate, with good written and verbal skills.
- It is very important that you will be confident and capable to use and update Tapestry.
- We would require at least two professional references upon being offered the position.
