Blossom Children Home is a new setting based in Newton Abbot, TQ12 6YB, currently supporting 3 children.

Shifts: Full time position Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Candidates must be happy to be on call during the weekend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the welfare and development of the children in our care.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of residential support workers.
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Developing and implementing care plans.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively.
Requirements:
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Level 5 Health and Social Care.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a manager or a deputy within a children’s residential setting OR experience as a support worker / social worker working with children under 16 years old.
  • A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection and Ofsted.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
