Blossom Children Home is a new setting based in Newton Abbot, TQ12 6YB, currently supporting 3 children.
Shifts: Full time position Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Candidates must be happy to be on call during the weekend.
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing the welfare and development of the children in our care.
- Managing and mentoring a team of residential support workers.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Developing and implementing care plans.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Level 5 Health and Social Care.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a manager or a deputy within a children’s residential setting OR experience as a support worker / social worker working with children under 16 years old.
- A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection and Ofsted.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
