As a Regional Nurse (RGN/RMN) at Barchester, you will travel across your region to deliver the high clinical standards we are known for. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that on each shift, at every location, all of our residents receive the highest quality care. Expect a wide range of responsibilities, from helping new residents settle in, to developing care plans tailored to residents' physical and mental needs, and advancing your team members' skills. As a Peripatetic Nurse, you will have the freedom and autonomy to do things the right way and be truly valued and respected for what you do.
Responsibilities
- Travel across your region to deliver high clinical standards
- Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality care on every shift and location
- Support new resident settling-in processes
- Develop care plans tailored to residents’ physical and mental needs
- Develop and implement detailed risk assessments
- Demonstrate a can-do approach, leading by example and maintaining excellent communication to motivate teams in each Barchester care home you work with
About You
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a current NMC registration
- Teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification
- Strong, up-to-date clinical knowledge and understanding of key regulatory frameworks
- Experience in safe administration of medicines, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, and NMC standards
- Track record of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments
- Dedicated, ambitious, and able to lead by example with strong communication skills
