Nursery Practitioner in Preston

Here at Whitefriars Nursery we are looking for a mature individual to join our well-established team! We strive to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive practice where children are able to explore, grow and shine. We are a small, warm and welcoming nursery focused on child‑centred learning through play and curiosity.

Your responsibility involves providing high-quality care to children aged 0-5 years, building strong and trusting relationships with children, parents and staff! Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of the children in your care and contribute to the running of the room you’re working in and the Nursery as a whole!

Vacancy

• Job type: Full time, permanent
• Hours: Between 7:30am – 6:30pm
• Qualification: Minimum Level 3

Desired requirements:

• DBS certificate on the update service
• Certificate in Food hygiene (can be updated)
• Paediatric first aid (can be updated)
• Certificate in Safeguarding Children (can be updated)

What you’ll do:

• ?? Create a warm, welcoming space where children feel safe and happy
• ?? Plan fun, meaningful activities based on the children’s interests (yes, that includes glitter and glue!)
• ?? Support little ones learning big things!
• ?? Work closely with our fabulous team who laugh as much as they learn
• ?? Be a role model in kindness and patience!
• ?? Pretend to drink invisible tea and act like it’s the best thing ever!!
• ?? Be able to sing “Wheels on the bus” with enthusiasm, even on a Monday Morning!
• ?? Treat every “Why?” Like it’s the first one you’ve ever heard
• ?? Be the type of person who genuinely celebrates a child learning, no matter how big or small ??
