Job Requirements / Description:
- Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
- Understanding of the EYFS and child development
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years
- Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
- Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- DBS or we will provide one
- Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Experience using online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of activities that meet the EYFS framework and reflect children’s interests and developmental needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children\’s progress through observations and assessments.
- Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Promote positive behaviour and model appropriate interactions with children.
- Create a warm, welcoming environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s individual needs.
- Carry out daily routines including nappy changing, toileting, mealtimes, and sleep supervision.
- Ensure all health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are upheld in the setting.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Contribute to maintaining a well-organised, inclusive, and positive team environment.
