Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, qualified nursery practitioner to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Support children\’s imagination and engagement with age-appropriate activities.
- Answer questions with a positive, friendly approach.
- Read stories regularly and create engaging learning experiences.
- Assist with creative play, crafts, and safeguarding (e.g., supervising pet scenarios in a safe, playful context where applicable).
- Support painting, dress-up, storytelling, and other activities that foster development and collaboration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 3 ONLY.
- Monday to Friday 7am – 6pm.
- Shift Patterns: 7am-4.30pm, 7.30-5.00pm, 8-5.15pm, 8.30-6.00pm. Half an hour lunch. Must be able to do a minimum of 36 hours per week. Full days only, no half-days or school hours.
- Must have experience within the last 3 years (minimum of 6 months) in a 0-5 year setting (no childminding, no babysitting).
- Recent experience in the past 3 years with activities for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years; personal care needs are met; working within the EYFS framework & Ofsted regulations.
- Role includes writing up children\’s records and cleaning the nursery.
- Be prepared to take on additional training when required and to work as part of a team.
