£13.13 per hour, 40 hours per week (20 hours administration + 20 hours Support Provision) plus on-call requirements - permanent contract. Total = £30,599.23 per year.
Founded in 2005, Archangel Care began with a single, locally based residential unit for adults with learning disabilities. It has subsequently grown year on year and now has three branches covering Nottingham, Staffordshire and West Cheshire. We provide Supported Living Accommodation, Domiciliary Care and Outreach Support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues, some of whom also have physical disabilities. Our customers are all very different with their own individual needs and interests, and we tailor their support to help them live a happy and fulfilled life, supporting them to access the community and complete everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, finances and housework.
We are now looking for a Senior Support Worker to support our Registered Manager & Care Manager in developing the existing branch based in Nottingham. The role will involve working in the office and supporting a team of Support Workers in the Nottingham region. We expect our Senior Support Worker to have an excellent understanding of legislation and experience in supporting an established team in ensuring the service provision is individualised and person-centred to each client’s needs. The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Review of person‑centred support plans and risk assessments, completing compliance checks throughout the staff team, including Supervisions, Spot Checks, Competency Assessments and training/shadowing requirements.
- Audits, Reviews and professional meetings.
- Build positive relationships with vulnerable adults, enhance their independence, improve their quality of life and help them become participating members of their community.
Full‑time contract - 40 hours. 20hrs providing support provision and 20hrs senior care administration duties with flexibility around shifts. In addition to this, you will become a responsible member of the on‑call team within the branch based on a 1 in 3 weekend rotation and this is paid in addition to the normal contracted hours.

- Good judgement and sense of responsibility with limited supervision
- Experience of working with people with mental health conditions or learning disabilities would be vulnerable but not essential for the role
