PerCurra provide all necessary training prior to your engagement via a PerCurra company induction and continuing support throughout your employment. We offer a 4-day induction to all our employees and paid mandatory training.

About the Care Assistant (Driver) role

As our Care Assistant (Driver), you will be providing care and support in the Client’s own home. You do not need to have worked as a carer before, but some experience of care work (including caring for family and friends) is preferred. This role will predominately be providing companionship and accompanying the client to outings. Applicants who can work early morning and/or evenings will be given preference. Work is currently available from seven days a week and some weekend work would be expected. Additional work, including some nights may also be available.

Care Assistant (Driver) Opportunities Locations:

  • Evenings - Beeston (Bilborough, Toton, Chilwell, Stapleford, Sandiacre)
  • Evenings - Keyworth (Widmerpool, Normanton on the Wolds, Tollerton)
  • Mornings & Evenings - West Bridgeford (Edwalton, Gamston, Cotgrave, Ruddington Radcliffe on Trent)

12 to 18 hours per week which can increase at times. We may at times ask staff to float across areas if needed, but only if willing.

Shifts:

  • Mornings: 7am - 3:30pm
  • Evenings: 4pm - 10pm

Weekend availability is essential. You will join on a part time basis, and in return, you will receive a good rate of pay:

  • £12.40 No qualifications
  • £13.40 Care Certificate
  • £14.40 NVQ2+ in Health & Social Care

Plus paid mileage and travel time between clients. Due to the nature of this role, you must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.

Our Care Assistant (Driver) will receive the following benefits:

Please Note – You must have the ‘right to work’ in the UK and be willing to provide the relevant Home Office documentation.

  • Attend appropriate training courses
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and systems
  • Attend all client calls to permanently assigned Clients
  • Understand and cope with emergency situations
  • Liaise effectively with office staff, Social Workers, clients and client family members
  • Maintain high standards of care provision
  • Excellent communication skills
