Essential Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or actively working towards qualification).
  • Proven experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor, or People Partnering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrable experience coaching, mentoring, and developing managers and leaders.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases confidently and independently.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

This is a hands-on and varied HR role. You’ll work closely with managers and leaders across the organisation, providing trusted advice, coaching, and support on a broad range of people matters. You’ll also contribute to key projects that support employee engagement, talent development, organisational growth, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • People Partnering
    • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and leaders across the business.
    • Lead and support employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
    • Coach and mentor managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, supporting managers in making effective people decisions.
  • Talent, Development & Organisational Growth
    • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
    • Contribute to learning and development programmes that enhance capability across the organisation.
    • Support business growth initiatives, including future site expansion projects.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Support and deliver people projects across engagement, communications, and culture initiatives.
    • Identify opportunities to improve people processes and employee experience.
    • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the People & Culture function.
  • Data, Systems & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
    • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
    • Analyse people data and trends to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Ensure all people practices align with organisational values and legal requirements.
