About the Role
Address Healthcare is looking for an experienced and compassionate Live-In Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to an elderly female service user in their own home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is reliable, confident and committed to providing compassionate support. The role operates on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off basis, with the potential for longer stays where required.
What We're Looking For
- Have previous professional care experience.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving.
- Be comfortable using a vehicle provided by the service user.
- Have experience and confidence with medication administration.
- Provide compassionate, reliable and person-centred care.
- Be respectful of the service user's independence, dignity and choices.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be dependable and comfortable working independently within a live-in setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.
- Supporting the service user with their daily routines and activities.
- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Administering and supporting with medication safely and appropriately.
- Supporting mobility and accompanying the service user when required.
- Driving the service user's vehicle for appointments, activities and other journeys as needed.
- Encouraging independence and supporting the service user's individual choices.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Maintaining a safe, comfortable and welcoming home environment.
- Communicating effectively with family members and other professionals involved in the individual's care.
- Reporting any concerns or changes in wellbeing appropriately.
