Role Overview
Operational Trainers at Barchester provide induction and development training to approximately 5 homes and/or hospitals across a specific region. As one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and new staff, our Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and the Barchester ethos. This role offers the opportunity to witness staff progress from their first day throughout their Barchester career. This is a home-based position that involves travel within a specific region.
Essential Requirements
- C&G 7300 (or equivalent) Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience of working in the social care sector
- Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector
- At least 2 years of training experience
- Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver induction and development training aligned with Barchester objectives and training statistics
- Provide practical, hands-on training across various subjects
- Plan and publish training calendars
- Maintain employee training records
- Observe workplace practices
- Prepare induction paperwork and assign a buddy before a new employee starts
- Maintain regular contact with new team members, providing coaching and support as needed
- Attend external meetings and conferences as required
- Promote learning and development opportunities offered by Barchester
- Collaborate with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans
