Join Our award winning Mental Health Team – Enabling people with disabilities to lead a fulfilling life

Position: Community Support Worker (a number of posts available due to expansion)

Salary: Β£13.21 per hour including Β£1 enhancement

Hours: 8.30 – 6.30 including alternate weekends required (may fluctuate as per needs of the service)

Mileage: paid at 35p per mile

Holiday: 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays

Requirements / Criteria

Criteria to be met:

  • Alternate weekends on a rolling rota.
  • Full and part time staff required
  • Driver preferred but not essential
  • Experience preferred but not essential as life experience is important
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral

Driving license and access to a vehicle – Preferred but not essential for all roles

The right to work in the UK, sponsorship can\’t be offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medication Support – Administering or prompting medication as per care plans.
  • Companionship & Emotional Support – Engaging with clients, reducing loneliness, and providing reassurance.
  • Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance – Preparing nutritious meals and helping clients eat if required.
  • Mobility Assistance – Supporting clients with moving around safely, including hoisting and repositioning if necessary.
  • Household Tasks – Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping to maintain a comfortable home environment.
  • Running Errands – Assisting with shopping, prescription collection, or attending medical appointments.
  • Monitoring & Reporting – Observing changes in health and well-being and reporting concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
  • Promoting Independence – Encouraging clients to do as much as they can for themselves while offering appropriate support.
  • Building Relationships – Developing a trusting relationship with clients and their families, ensuring a person-centred approach to care.
  • Providing Personal Care – Assisting clients with washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while maintaining their dignity and independence may be required.
