Freshfields Residential Home require a Senior Candidate with a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care as well as experience in a senior position.

PAY: £14.16 per hour

SHIFTS: 38 hours per week - over 4 days per week

  • Monday - 2-9 shift
  • Tuesday - 8-9 shift
  • Friday - 8-3 shift
  • Saturday - 8-9 shift

To work with the Manager in the management of the home, its staff team in an efficient and effective manner, so as to create an environment in which each resident is able to lead as full and as happy a life as is possible.

Principle Responsibilities

To work with the Manager in the management of Freshfields Residential Home within the terms of the Statement of Purpose and procedures and the CQC (Care Quality Commission) Essential Standards of Safety and Quality.

The Residents

To be aware of the needs of each resident (physical, psychological, social, spiritual and sexual). To assist each resident in respect of dressing, toileting, mobility, minor dressings, nursing and other personal skills. To establish a working care plan for each resident, within the philosophy of Person-Centered Planning, that takes into account their identified needs, goals and objectives are to be agreed for - and where possible with - each resident. To monitor on an ongoing basis care plan, update and amend as necessary, carry out risk assessments, staff training and administer medication. Explore - implement - opportunities for each resident to develop social skills, e.g. visits to local shops, pubs etc. To work with the Manager in successfully implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance system. To liaise closely with the Manager of each resident and promote further day activities.

Personal

To identify own training needs and agree key objectives with the Manager as part of Personal Development Plan. To propose ideas and initiatives to the Manager for continuing to improve the service. To keep up to date with professional practices within this field.

The Building

To ensure that highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness at Freshfields Residential Home are maintained at all times. To ensure that all fire fighting equipment is regularly checked, maintained and the maintenance is duly recorded. To undertake periodic health and safety checks.
