Summertime Nursery and Preschool is a 35 place rated Good childcare setting looking after babies from about 9 months to starting school age. We are seeking to appoint a friendly and motivated individual to become part of our committed staff team who has a genuine passion for early years education. Our aim is to provide a warm and kind environment for staff and the children, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Description

  1. Sound working knowledge of the EYFS development statements and current legislation relevant to the early years. Take into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities’ considerations
  2. Ensure that children are safe and emotionally supported. Creating an atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn independently
  3. Take on the role of a keyworker, planning activities and keeping records of each child’s progress
  4. Ability to work with parents and families to encourage their involvement, good communication and continuity of care for every child.

Requirements

  • Full time, 37.5 hours a week (can be flexible for the right candidate)
  • 1 early start at 7:30am per week (Preferred)
  • 1 late finish at 6pm per week (Preferred)
  • Level 2/3 Qualification in Childcare
  • Salary to be discussed with manager
  • MINIMUM of 2 years experience in Childcare
