Pay: £14.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience and care package
Job Types: Full-time / Part-time
Shifts: Days, evenings, weekends and waking nights (Potential for school hours)
About the Role
Oak Support Limited is looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants and Care Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes.
We are seeking reliable, compassionate and professional carers who already have practical experience in health or social care.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care while maintaining dignity and independence
- Supporting mobility, transfers and repositioning
- Medication support and accurate record keeping
- Supporting nutrition, hydration and meal preparation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Maintaining accurate daily care records
- Following safeguarding and infection-control procedures
- Supporting individuals with complex, palliative or end-of-life care where required
Essential Requirements
- Previous paid experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker
- Experience providing personal care
- Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Reliable, compassionate and professional approach
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and pre-employment checks
Experience in domiciliary care, complex care, dementia, moving and handling, medication administration, palliative care or waking-night care would be an advantage.
Relevant Care Certificate or Health and Social Care qualifications are desirable.
