Hours: Part time - 20 to 25 hours per week (days/hours by agreement) - potential for full time as care packages increase.

Location: Harrogate Business Centre, Hammerain House, Hookstone Avenue, Harrogate, HG2 8ER (with some travel for spot checks/visits as required).

Salary: £12,750 per annum (pro rata).

Job Purpose: To support the coordination of high-quality, person‐centred domiciliary care services, ensuring efficient scheduling, communication between staff, service users and families, and maintaining accurate records in line with CQC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create and manage care worker rotas using electronic rostering system ensuring continuity of care and appropriate skill matching.
  • Respond promptly to schedule changes, staff absences and emergency cover requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for service users, families and care staff regarding day‐to‐day queries.
  • Support onboarding of new care workers, including coordination of training via Atlas (Citation).
  • Maintain accurate, up‐to‐date records including care plans, risk assessments and visit logs.
  • Monitor timely completion of care notes and flag concerns to the Registered Manager.
  • Assist with quality monitoring, spot checks and compliance documentation.
  • Support recruitment administration as required (interview scheduling, reference checks).
  • Liaise with North Yorkshire Council and other commissioners regarding care package updates.

Person Specification – Essential:

  • Previous experience in a care coordination, scheduling or administrative role within health/social care.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate, comfortable with care management software.
  • Understanding of CQC regulations and person‐centred care principles.
  • Flexible and able to respond to urgent situations.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Person Specification – Desirable:

  • Experience using electronic rostering systems.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional flexibility for early/late or weekend cover as needed.
