About the Role As a General Assistant at a Barchester care home, you\’ll carry out a range of tasks to help us provide the quality care and support our residents deserve. No two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering. It\’s because this is such a wide-reaching role that you\’ll be able to play your own part in creating a warm and homely environment. Caring and empathetic, as a General Assistant you\’ll put our residents first and build the kind of positive professional relationships with them that make their experience with us happy and meaningful.ResponsibilitiesRoles may include working in the kitchen, being a host and housekeepingSupport across housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering dutiesWork 32 hours per week across 4 daysShifts can vary from 8:30am to 3:30pm or 6:30pmWeekend workingAbout You People in a General Assistant role come from all walks of life and have all kinds of life experiences and career paths behind them.
