The key purpose of a community care assistant is to provide high quality personal care, whilst respecting preferences and choices, enabling clients to live in their own home as independently as possible. You will be working with the elderly and clients over the age of 18 with learning disabilities, where the majority of Britzhealth Care service users are based in Doncaster City Centre.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist service users with getting up in the morning and going to bed at night
- Provide support with washing, bathing, showering, dressing and undressing
- Administer medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their medication care needs assessment
- Prepare food and drink, being aware of people’s choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements
- Provide light general household duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan
Pay: £14 per hour
Travel time and mileage: Paid
Shifts: Full and part time hours are available, with shifts varying between 8am to 9:30pm. Alternate weekends are essential. Visits typically vary from 30 minutes up to 4 hours, depending upon individual clients' needs.
