Overview
The Carroll Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced level 3+ practitioner to join our wonderful team as a Deputy Nursery Manager within our on-site Nursery, Poppins!
The successful candidate will be a passionate and creative practitioner, who will support the setting in achieving the highest standards of nursery education for children aged 2-5 years.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in leading a team and room or setting and comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
Responsibilities
- 3+ years early years’ experience.
- 1-2+ years management experience
- Good knowledge of child development and children’s needs
- Experience of planning and assessing play opportunities to stimulate children’s development and learning in line with the EYFS curriculum and Ofsted educational guidelines.
- Term time
- Monday – Friday
Qualifications and Education
- NVQ level 3+ in Childcare with commitment to CPD
- Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Current & clear DBS & registered for the update service
- Current paediatric first aid certificate
- Experience of supervising and motivating staff
- Ability to make decisions within the limits of the role.
- Good IT & administration skill
- Good presentation skills and ability to be a positive role model for staff
