Overview
Day Service, LE10 1DY
We are looking for a part time staff member to join our small but busy team. You will be working at our day service based in Hinckley, assisting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Hours of work would be Tuesdays 10am – 3pm and Thursdays 10am – 3pm.
We always work in a respectful manner. We work in partnership with you and other services involved in your life wherever possible.We will always uphold your rights and treat you with dignity and respect, building you a dedicated, consistent team of personal assistants around you.
Duties
- The day service entails things such as arts and crafts, computer skills, cooking skills, community visits into the local town. We don’t do personal care but some clients do need assistance in the bathroom, no actual physical contact.
- Workshop activities such as geography, historical & cultural, presentation & self-esteem, science, group drama and playwriting.
- Chill rooms, singing, gardening, table top gaming
Experience
- 1+ year experience within a care setting
Pay / Contracts / Shifts
- 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday
- Working hours are from 10am to 3pm
Requirements
- Current DBS would be advantageous
- Alternate weekend availability
- Full UK driving license is preffered, but not essential
- Must have a reliable commute to the LE10 1DY postcode
