We are seeking a dedicated Live in carer to provide a block of approximately 7 - 10 days support each month, working on a flexible rota with a regular live in carer, to support a lovely gentleman with Parkinson's disease to remain living in his own home.
Duties to include:
- Assistance with washing/showering and dressing each morning and assistance to change into nightwear in the evening
- Preparation of food and drinks
- Assistance with regular time-critical prescribed medications
- Escort to any required medical appointments and assistance to order and collect prescribed medications from local GP/pharmacy
- Laundry
- Keep the home clean and tidy
- Manage rubbish, recycling and food waste and ensure correct bins are put out for collection
- Basic household maintenance such as changing lightbulbs
- Assist to complete weekly food shop
- Assist to go out for a walk each day (weather permitting)
