Description
Part time cook required working in a friendly residential home in Farnham, Surrey.
At least one year’s professional cooking experience is required to be considered for this position.
Pay: £13.60 per hour plus £1.85 weekend enhancement.
Shift times: alternate weekends – Saturday 8.00am to 2.30pm and Sunday 3.00pm to 7.30pm.
You will be required
- Work at all times within the practice taught in the Food Hygiene course.
- Prepare food for appropriate meals as specified by the menu.
- Ensure any food prepared looks pleasant, is tasty and kept hot/cold as needed.
- Ensure food waste is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure the kitchen is tidy and clean at the end of a shift.
- Ensure a safe environment for other staff.
- Ensure fridge, freezers and food temperatures are recorded twice a day.
- Ensure daily/weekly and monthly cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard and signed for.
- Ensure the Better Food Better Business is correct and kept up to date.
- Report any problems to the Person-in-Charge as appropriate.
- Gain feedback from residents during meal times.
- Complete ordering to ensure plenty of stock is available to be able to fulfil the daily menus.
- Be aware of residents’ nutritional needs and cater accordingly.

- Live in a 10 mile radius of Farnham.
- At least one year’s professional cooking experience.
