The predicted salary is between 11 - 15 £ per hour.

Supported Living and Home Care services across Cheltenham and Gloucester. Mixture of Supported Living and Home Care, but the majority is Supported Living. Supporting service users between 18 to 65 years old with learning disabilities, mental health issues and challenging behaviour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To carry out care, support and other tasks as specified in the person’s Care/Support plan to a high standard in accordance with the Charities policies and procedures.
  • Helping with personal care which may include helping the person to wash, shower, shave, dress and other tasks where necessary.
  • Assisting the person to keep their home clean by hoovering, dusting, tidying, laundry and other general household duties.
  • Supporting the person to be actively involved in their local community and to access a full range of activities including educational, recreational and employment.
  • Supporting the person to develop their social network.

Pay: Full time and part time contracted hours £12.82 per hour.

Shifts: Monthly rota with 3 week notice of shifts. Days, Evenings, Weekend, Waking Nights, Sleep Ins.

Requirements:

  • Full UK licence (Company cars are available).

You are employed to assist in the provision of a high-quality service that enables the people you work with to develop an independent and individual lifestyle using a person-centred approach. You are required to work in accordance with the stated Policies, Philosophy, Aims and Objectives of Aim Up which are included in the Policy and Procedures handbook. It is your responsibility to ensure that you read, understand and fully comply with these policies before carrying out any tasks. We aim to involve the people that we support in all areas and provide them with as normal a life as possible regardless of their disability. We recognise that this work can be demanding and stressful at times and it is essential that you can maintain a positive attitude and provide a good role model at all times. You will receive client specific training, which may include for example Autism or Positive Behaviour Management, relevant to the individual or group you will be working with. This will help develop your ability to think fast and act quickly and appropriately with each person. In return we offer excellent support which includes a high level of supervision from both your line Manager and immediate peers.
