As a Care Home Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll carry out a range of tasks that help us provide the quality care our residents deserve. No two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across care, housekeeping and catering. You'll get plenty of variety and will be able to develop a broad range of skills along the way. Whether you're cooking up meals, keeping our environment well-maintained or spending one-to-one time with our residents, you'll be delivering a warm and homely atmosphere where they always come first. If you find yourself drawn to one of the areas you work in, we'll make sure you have the opportunity to progress there full-time.
As a Care Home Assistant you'll be a big presence in our home, so it's important that you have excellent communication and team working skills and a positive, can-do approach. You should be practical and willing to turn your hand to different tasks, ready to adapt to all sorts of different situations. You'll need some experience in care, housekeeping or catering, but we'll provide all the training you need to thrive with us.
