Job Purpose: To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing in line with each person's care and support plan and CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, continence care) with dignity and respect.
- Support with mobility, medication prompts/administration, and meal preparation.
- Carry out light domestic tasks as outlined in the care plan (cleaning, laundry, shopping).
- Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence.
- Accurately complete care notes and visit records, including via electronic systems.
- Report any changes in a service user's health, wellbeing or circumstances promptly.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures at all times.
- Attend mandatory training and team meetings as required.
- Travel between service users' homes in line with the agreed rota.
Person Specification - Essential:
- Previous experience in a care, support work, or similar caring role.
- Right to work in the UK (AJEB Healthcare Ltd does not offer visa sponsorship).
- Caring, patient and reliable approach with good communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
- Flexible and able to work some early mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends.
Person Specification - Desirable:
- NVQ/QCF/Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes.
- Experience using care management/rostering apps.
- Moving and handling, medication, or first aid training.
