Zero2Five is delighted to be partnering with a high-quality nursery in Bath, seeking a dedicated Pre-School Room Leader to join their skilled team in providing a safe nurturing environment for the children and your staff to grow and develop.
Requirements:
- Recent and relevant experience of working with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.
- Holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- Knowledge of child development, to ensure records and observations are up to date.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to childcare settings.
- Good written and verbal skills with adults and children.
- SEN Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
- Regularly assess and record children's progress, collaborating with parents and guardians to ensure a holistic understanding of each child's development.
- Tailor your approach to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Lead a team of dedicated nursery practitioners, providing guidance and support in delivering high-quality childcare and educational experiences.
- Support and train new staff/students, explaining the expectations of the room.
- Ensure all children requiring extra support such as targets are completed by yourself or your team, checked daily to ensure ongoing support.
- Monitor and maintain the well-being of each child, promptly addressing any health concerns and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and shared commitment to the nursery’s mission and values.
- Complete necessary paperwork, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the overall administrative responsibilities of the nursery.
- Attend room leader’s meetings and take advice on board.
- Establish strong partnerships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism.
