A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Toddler Room Leader in our Toddler room. The candidate will lead a team of staff to provide high quality childcare whilst maintaining a calm, fun filled and loving environment. We are looking for someone who has a passion for caring for 2-3 year olds and strives to give them the best start. The right person will understand that an important part of being little is taking the time to explore at their own pace, finding wonder in the world around them.
We expect you to really get to know each child and provide a stimulating, nurturing environment focused around the child's interests and needs. Our ideal candidate will have:
- A level 3 or above qualification in Childcare.
- 3+ years’ experience in childcare.
- Be passionate and motivated.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
- Experience of safeguarding practice.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and care of the children throughout the day.
- Following all policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Working closely with the senior staff team to ensure a constant approach throughout the nursery.
- Overseeing observations and assessments carried out by your staff team and offering support where needed.
- Role modelling to junior staff and supporting them in the development of their knowledge and understanding, identifying training needs to upskill your team.
- Developing positive partnerships with parents.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. This is a job share suitable for someone wanting to move into a leadership role. We work 39 hours over 4 days: 2 days leading on their own, 2 days working with other room leaders.
